It really has been a hot summer ..so far... and it will probably get hotter before it is over. I have been trying to stay as cool as possible. I had a great time at the Orange Blossom Opry last week. It was great to see everyone and all the changes they have made there. I am looking forward to being there again in late August. Football season is getting close and Kermit and I are planning on trying to play some gigs in Statesboro, GA after some of the GSU games for the first time in a couple of years, after not missing a season for 21 years. I am also looking forward to booking more jobs in the north Georgia and Atlanta area real soon. I will be playing in a songwriter's night at the Crimson Moon in Dahlonega, GA on August 16th. I am ready to get back to playing more after a brief setback due to some health issues. Nothing serious, just slowed me down for a while. I hope to see ya'll at the Opry or somewhere else soon!!
